Dr. Addelston has been a faculty member in the Psychology Department for over 15 years, teaching a variety of courses such as; General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Drugs and Addiction. In addition to being a college professor, Dr. Addelston is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, a modality of therapy incorporating the ideas of self-love, self-leadership, and mindfulness. Presently, Dr. Addelston uses her therapeutic training to create internships for Valencia students seeing to learn and develop behavioral interventions to treat mental disorders.
